• Recycling and Waste Reduction: We recycle all materials, including soft plastics, to ensure as little as possible ends up in landfill.

• Composting: Food waste and green garden waste is composted and returned to our garden soil, enriching it naturally and supporting a healthy, thriving ecosystem. We use a garden shredder to enhance composting efficiency by breaking down organic waste into smaller pieces, accelerating decomposition and we compost so no garden waste is sent to landfill.

• Renewable Energy: Our property is powered entirely by 100% renewable energy, helping to reduce our carbon footprint.

• Thoughtful Breakfast Planning: We ask guests to pre-book breakfasts so we can minimise food waste while still providing choice and a fresh and enjoyable start to the day.

• Line drying: We use line drying when possible as it is more sustainable than using a dryer - saving energy, reducing emissions and being kinder to our fabrics so they last longer.
